I’ve not had the chance to visit New Hall but purchased a selection of their lovely wines from English wine specialist shop Grape Britannia in Cambridge.  New Hall are one of the oldest English vineyards first planted in 1969 and have a cellar door shop with the option to walk around a vineyard trail.

New Hall Traditional Method Classic Brut 2018

Easy drinking, pleasant English fizz.  A lovely nose fragrant with toasty and floral notes.  Good body and mouthfeel with a creamy, soft texture and mousse making this an easy wine to drink.

A great apéritif or why not treat yourself to a bottle with fish & chips by the seaside?

New Hall Bacchus Reserve 2019

New Hall won the East Anglia Wine of the Year award in 2013 with this wine.  It is an aromatic wine with aromas of elderflower, geranium, gooseberry, pear and melon.  Off dry with moderate intensity this wine would make a great partner with white meats, fish and even lightly spiced food.

New Hall Limited Edition Chardonnay 2018

I urge you to give this a go if you think you don’t like Chardonnay as this wine may surprise you!

It’s elegant, refreshing, crisp and balanced with complex and interesting aromas of tropical fruits, honeysuckle and a hint of toastiness. It has a soft mouthfeel and a pleasant long aftertaste.
